PitBull BigDog Guide Shaft Protection Rod

The purpose of these steel rods is to protect the the more expensive and harder to replace guide rods on the Pitbull Chisel. Under normal operation these stone stop rods should not be damaged easily. Damaged stone stop rods are usually caused by operator error: a bite depth that is too deep. Suggested bite depths for various material thicknesses can be found in the Pitbull BigDog Stone Chisel manual.
