How To Check Blue Ripper Rail Straightness

Checking your rail's straightness is simple and fast, you just need some simple tools, and a good eye.

Tools you will need

  • Flat table
  • Light-weight cord
Procedure Steps: 
Tie a good light cord to one of the end rail supports.

Run cord around the opposite end of the rail.

Run cord around the near end again.

Hold cord taught while inspecting inner and out edges of the rail to see if there is a gap between the cord and the rail on either side.

If the check shows that the rail is bent then you will need to straighten it.
Notes: 

In some environments static electricity can push the string away from the rail, so it is critical that you wrap around and have string on both sides of a single rail bar and check the difference in the gap: if both sides show the same amount of gap, no matter how much that gap actually is, the rail is straight.
